LAUNCH OF INVESTOR TOOLKIT ON INDIGENOUS PEOPLES’ RIGHTS AND CULTURAL HERITAGE PROTECTION + RIAA’S RAP

Point Advisory is proud to be a part of the RIAA’s First Nations Peoples’ Rights Working Group and contributors Alan Dayeh and Nina Haysler  towards the Investor Toolkit on Indigenous Peoples Right and Cultural Heritage Protection, led by Responsible Investment Association Australasia.

This is a new toolkit for the Australian and global investment community. It details practical steps investors can take when considering and engaging with companies on Indigenous Peoples’ rights and cultural heritage protection.  In light of the final report from the Senate inquiry into Rio Tinto’s destruction of Juukan Gorge, the toolkit outlines ’red flags’ investors should look out for in companies’ disclosure and engagement practices on Indigenous Peoples’ rights, as well as what good looks like.
