Junyan joins Point Advisory as Manager in the Climate Change & Sustainability Team.
Over the past 6 years, Junyan accumulated a broad range of experience in energy and corporate sustainability. Junyan has performed energy audits, managed energy accounts, developed energy and carbon strategies and supported corporate power purchase agreements (PPAs) for large corporations and governments. This wide range has helped him develop tailored plans for different organisations for a structured and cost-effective transition to prosper in a more sustainable future.
His most recent role was a project engineer at Newcrest Mining, building and implementing energy strategies across the Cadia and Lihir mines. This includes supporting renewable energy PPA negotiations, internal and external stakeholder engagement, energy management system implementation and modelling the viability of onsite renewables.
Junyan has a Bachelor of Engineering (R&D and Sustainable Energy Systems) and Bachelor of Science (Interdisciplinary Science) from the Australian National University.
Outside of work, Junyan enjoys hiking, pottery and keeping fit at the gym.
